The Museum is closed. Hurricane Sandy damaged the submarine so that is closed too. But, there's a huge, rusting submarine in the river!! How cool is that? There are various naval ordinance scattered around the site, but the big attraction has got to be the...More

The land that the museum is on is sold for new development. Their lease is up. Was a great place to visit but no more. The Ling submarine is still there but now just a rusting hulk.

No matter what age, you will enjoy this as much as the kids. If you are a large person, you may feel a little claustrophobic. Both girls and boys, men and women can appreciate this tour. It is really a great learning experience and family...More

Was once EXCELLENT, but no more. Closed. Years of inadequate funding has led to great neglect. Practically abandoned. VERY SAD. Used to be a must see.

If you like to see relics, stop by. The boat can't get moved out of it's river graveyard. At low tide you'll see massive rusted holes in the hull. It's definitely a surprise to see such a boat in this area.

This Museum is a great testimony to those who served our country in the Navy, with an Emphasis on the Silent service, or Submarine service. Unfortunately the museum was pretty much destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. The Submarine the USS Ling was unharmed by the storm....More

Stumbled upon this while out for a morning run. The vessel appears listing a bit near the river bank. Unable to access it directly, best photo is from nearby bridge. Grounds somewhat overgrown with weeds, various displays of Patrol Boat, German mini sub, periscope, and...More

I am sad to report this museum is closed PERMANETLY. Its too bad because it was good one.... but with a submarine you need money to make repairs - and they didn't have it....
