It is a great place to visit. There is an environmental center to see what is locally around animal wise. There are boat rides, bathrooms and a picnic area. There is no food that you can purchase so you can bring food. Very interesting to visit. Great for children.

The visitor center is a nice spot to sit and have a snack while gazing out on the water. You can rent kayaks and pontoon boat rides when available. There is a boat ramp for electric boats and an indoor fireplace in the building. Restrooms and snack machines available. A nice spot to hang out and relax.

Went with my then kindergarten daughter and her class for school. The inside is done really nice with a lot of kid friendly activities. I'm assuming that since we were there on a class trip we had the chance to see up close the box turtle some frogs and some animals who live in or near the reservoir. The staff... More

I love the Manasquan Reservoir and have been visiting regularly since moving into the area in 2002. It is a unique and wonderful treasure and worth a visit. Some observations: The loop around the lake is five miles. Walk it or bike it, you can't lose. I've personally biked it at least two hundred times. Its an enjoyable ride, though... More

I had a stay cation last week and had the time to go to the reservoir twice. Once I walked my dog around the 5 mile perimeter trail, and another time I rode mountain bikes with my wife around the trail twice. The trail is well maintained and very moderate. The visitor center is nice with a fireplace going in... More

I have lived in the area for years but only recently discovered all there is to do at the Manasquan Reservoir. My husband and I started fishing with our preschooler. There are boats to rent (kayaks, rowboats, sailboats etc.) There is a beautiful viewing area to sit either on the dock patio or up above the office in the enclosed... More

Nothing really special about it, but the trails are clean and rather well tended. There weren't too many low spots collecting water and I really didn't see any trash, which was a nice change from other parks I have been to. It is a nice running/biking trail. My only complaint is that there are not enough maps or directions at... More

Nice views and changes in terrain. However, I think it's a more challenging trail than that of beginner's trail because of the areas that are more sandy in texture. I felt like I was gonna wipe out on some of those turns due to the path makeup. Also, like another member posted, best to go early or later as the... More

There is a large reservoir to walk around. In the summer there is a BOAT RIDE AND ALSO KAYAKS FOR RENT. I always see people fishing and I think you can buy a license at the visitor's center. BEAUTIFUL NATURE TRAILS ABOUND for hiking.. IN THE AUTUMN the leaves are gorgeoous on the hiking trails and around the water. IN... More
