The last time I was in the safari I drove my own car through the compound, they changed that, now they put in big trucks and drive you around the park. This was I don't have monkeys pulling parts off my car. Interesting but with the cooler weather some animals are getting ready to hibernate. I think if some of... More

There's a very long 2 hour wait in the sun & heat to board the Jeep for the Safari but it is the best feature at Six Flags. Lions, bears, old elephants, & some extinct animals. Get in line 1st when you arrive & be prepared to walk long distances to get there. Water park requires separate ticket, don't waste... More

Unlike other Safaris in the United States, you can see animals up close. It was a good experience for any zoologist.

Kids love the Safari. Warning if you want to visit the Safari you ha e to be on the line 3 hours before sundown before they close it down. It does not run until the park closes. Take note of my advice.

We really enjoyed seeing the animals in their natural habitat. The vehicle that you have to ride on in order to see the animals is very good for viewing. There is a stop halfway into the safari that allows you to get off and see some smaller, baby animals.

First time on the off road safari and really enjoyed it. Parents with 2 boys ages 9 & 12. It was a very long wait to go on - over an hour - but because it was October and cool, it wasn't to bad. My recommendation is to make sure you have water/drink and a snack on the line for... More

We were having a horrible day in the rest of the park and decided to take a chance on the safari. It used to be a stand alone but they made it a ride because people kept feeding the animals. There is an outpost in the middle of the trip. You can eat, get drinks, use the facilities and even... More

The Safari was a uniquely rare chance to view an impressive range of wild animals outside of an old-fashioned zoo. The ride in the truck gives you a bit of a tussle, but is generally fun and educational, as an enthusiastic announcer guides the tour. I was particularly enthralled by witnessing a small fight between two brown bears, and it... More

It's really something to see!! Just Beware, the ride is very very bumpy!! You have to sit is your seat so it's hard for little children to see. There is a place to get off the truck and the children then get to see some animals up close.
