Empty Sky Memorial's location and design are very appropriate in every way. It is sophisticated and beautiful. It honours 9/11 victims who lived in New Jersey at the time and does so in a very respectful way. Stunning view of Manhattan and you can see The Freedom Tower, that was built on Ground Zero, right through the Memorial. It is... More

This is a very nice memorial, and well done architecturally. I appreciated the way the sight lines were set up to show where the Twin Towers used to stand. Not as celebrated as other memorials on Manhattan, but this is still a great place to spend some time, especially if you are waiting for a ferry to Liberty Island.

This is the first 9-11 memorial I've ever visited and feels as solemn as it should be. I think the basic idea was to place a silhouette of the twin towers against the current manhattan skyline. Though my photo doesn't seem to do justice to the idea, it isn't any less pretty to look at. Its a good place to... More

A very moving piece, one of many dotted around Manhattan and New Jersey which is a permanent reminder of the atrocities of 9/11, sadly spoiled by people letting children run around shouting and screaming and the constant flow of people taking smiley selfies. It would be best visited first thing in the morning or at dusk when its a little... More

This was every weekend hangout zone for us. There are many activities which go on in the Colosseum area. Beautiful; walking zone overlooking back side of statue of liberty. One place from where you can view complete Manhattan. Evenings are cozy and romantic.

Stopped at the park to check it out before leaving the city and was surprised to find another tranquil and peaceful memorial for the 9/11 victims of Jersey City. This is worth checking out. There's also a closer view of Lady Liberty (from behind) that was pretty neat. This is probably somewhere better to go in the warmer months... it's... More

This memorial is a perfect spot to view the Manhattan Skyline. There are sitting areas nearby to sit and take in the view. It's only a path train ride from NYC. The exchange place station is walking distance from the memorial

Beautiful park .. The parking lot is a walk to the memorial. Great area to ride your bike or take a jog. Plenty of people and boats to watch

Noticed a number of photographers lined up with their seemingly complicated equipment waiting for the sun to set.
