History aside, this memorial is truly magnificent. Combine the powerful piece with the NYC back drop, it's magic. Take a chance to check this out while you can. They are moving the statue to a different location and might not have the same Kodak moment.

One of only a handful of reasons to cross the river into Jersey City. A stark reminder of how war can effect the people when politicians start wars. Beautiful statue with the WTC in the background. Truly one of a kind and inspiring.

Soon this monument will be removed under pretense of engineering work. However, this monument will not return to its original location fro several reasons, mostly political and because it commemorates Katyn Massacre. To this day Russian propaganda machine claims that Polish Officers were shot one...More

Come and read the plaque and learn a little bit about the tragedy. In the middle of the pedestrian area at Exchange Place, so lots of people coming and going.

Ok, but not much to see. Lot's of other stuff around and great area for picture taking. Waterfront area is beautiful.

Katyn Forrest is an emotional remembrance for the Polish people. Deeply moving, and the symbolism of the bayonet to the back is not missed.

This statue is disturbing to see but interesting to learn about the history of it. It just seems out of place in Jersey City.

It is right outside the Exchange Place on the Path subway line. Would recommend it only if you want to pay respects to the war heroes. The scenery of the NY skyline on the waterfront, just behind this is awesome

It was only by chance walking past this memorial did I see what it was dedicated to and also the fact that there is a memorial plaque to the 9/11 attacks on one side.

We were taking HBLR line and stopped at Exchange place to take the PATH. Views from NYC were striking and the monument is interesting. Do not hesitate to take some very nice pictures.
