Everything I have seen here is BAAAAAAAAAAD
May 2019 • Friends
While I have seen multiple shows here, the most recent one was supposed to be based on de tocqueville's America. This show was the most revolting and useless thing I have ever seen. I should have known better than to go see an Italian person try and interpret a French Person's interpretation of American Democracy. As you can expect, it was the worst. I climbed over everyone in my way to get out of this theater as fast as possible. Anyone who would go to this place is in for hell.

All the shows I have seen here have been comprised of a few central components. People running around in circles doing nothing, and saying incoherent things. This is not art, this is not avant garde; this is avant garbage. The only show that I have seen that comes even close to being this bad is that of the awful Lee Breuer. But this is still worse.

Don't ever come to this awful, awful place.

The theater is not the most accessible for wheel chair or elderly visitors not easy to find elevators to get around stairs in balcony are steep and do not have stair lights in dark
Sound is good and stage views are good from all locations in clouding balcony

There is parking next to the theater but easy to miss. if you do the next parking lot is across campus and a very long walk

Can be as good as NY theater

A series of plays and dance programs that are innovative and daring. Thinking back to my attending the production of The Merchant of Venice, I would say it was brilliant.

Magnificent Merchant of Venice
Sep 2017 • Friends
Beautiful theater with stadium seating showcasing Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice through October 1, 2017. 4th row Orchestra seats were $20 - an incredible treat for this fabulous production. Acting was top-notched - I highly recommend.

Always Interesting

For $20 per ticket, this theater cannot be beat! I especially like the Shanghai quartet twice year, modern dance companies and occasional exotic musical groups, like Anda Union from Inner Mongolia. Almost all seats are good ones. Theater is very handicapped-accessible. Two drawbacks--no cloakroom and inadequate number of bathrooms.

Provocative entertainment in the suburbs

This relatively new theater space always has something to surprise the audience...and at a bargain rate, too. All tickets are $20 and there is not a bad seat in the house. While every performance might not be to everyone's taste, the selections are always thought provoking and memorable.
Parking is easy; there is convenient access from NYC.
If Broadway glitz is not your thing, the Kasser Theater at MSU is worth a look.

Amazing and crazy events presented and produced on the Montclair State University campus. College products are also good productions and all is at the very low price of just $20

Kasser Theater is the home of varied performances from chorales to ballet to drama. My most recent visit was for a dress rehearsal for "The Altzheimer's Stories. The music and singing were superb and very emotional.

Play of Local Production
Apr 2015
This is a beautiful theater with college play productions and local and/or international artistic performances. I attended a musical production of a local playwright and enjoyed the many musical songs and costumes in this musical production. The cost is reasonable priced for students and senior citizens. Please review Montclair State University for coming production and cost for the holidays and 2016 year.
