Over the summer and fall months every Friday from 11am-5pm they have a Farmer's Market with absolutely delicious food vendors. The gardens themselves are large and beautiful. You can also book the log cabin for personal festivities.

A great place for us to do our walks. As photographers offers a great variety of flora and fauna in all seasons for us to shoot. Many special Actvities as well such as plant sales, wine tastings, garden tours and more.

Rutgers Gardens is nothing like Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It's very small, doesn't have sidewalks (only paved streets), but seems good for hikes. We brought out twins in the double stroller so were hoping for sidewalks and more gardens, but only came across two or so. There's a small gift shop that sells ice cream, drinks, and potted flowers. There are... More

I've gone to the garden on a whim a few times to walk around for some alone time. I really love the flowers and well maintained lawn. My favorite spot is the area with the large green chairs.

We visit Rutgers Gardens on a regular basis; it's free, it's lovely, and has lots of space for kids to run. Stroll the garden beds or bamboo stand. If you have more time, there are trails through the woods, with loops as long as 1.5 hilly miles (and several shorter and flatter. Farmer's Market on Fridays noon -5 throughout the... More

Spent the day wandering the gardens, there are many varieties of plants and displays to visit. They have some photo oops as well with large wood chairs etc in the garden. The best part was the walk through the bamboo forest that has several paths and places to sit. Be ware to keep an eye out for people running in... More

I like coming here on a nice day to take in the scenary . They also have a farmers market on specific days during the summer and you can get some good fresh produce. My favorite section is the bamboo forest section, it takes me back in time.
