Beautiful winter day, temps in the higher 50s. Perfect day for a hike to see the State Forest lands in a different season. Highly recommend trying the venue all four seasons. It's beauty is astounding.

So wild and so close to home! It is worth the hike just for the view of New York city's skyline! The lake is gorgeous, and there is access to a pedestrian bridge over route 287. This bridge also allows access from the Wanaque/Haskell area!

I used to go every weekend, not as frequently anymore but it is a wonderful place to go hiking, many clearly marked trails good for all levels of hiking, well maintained, 10 minutes from home. A gem.

This is where I like to take a drive by myself or with a good friend, to relax look at the view or make good conversation.
