When we arrived the place reminded us of a vineyard we went to in Tuscany. The sampling area is big compared to many wineries but there is a stage and jazz bands play on Sunday's.It wasn't busy and our wine guide was Lisa who spent lots of time with us. We traded stories and she explained all the wines to... More

This is a beautiful location to try some lovely wines in an air conditioned tasting room. Local art is on display and a grand piano sits on the stage. There are plenty of tables to enjoy the wine, art and obviously periodic music. I'm not a big fan of NJ reds since they tend to lack depth and character, however,... More

Not sure how we found this but so glad we did! Every Sunday between 2 pm and 5 pm, a jazz group plays and we've gotten lucky both times in that the group was quite good and entertaining. There are light snacks (cheese plates, etc.) and you can do a wine tasting or just buy a bottle. Try the white... More

I recently hosted a bridal shower here and had a phenomenal experience. First of all, the venue is absolutely beautiful whether you are looking for a place to host an event or just a nice evening out. Booking the venue was an easy and painless process, courtesy of the event coordinator, Jen, who was flexible and accommodating to our party's... More

Decided to try a local winery for a summer weekend activity. Based upon the reviews we traveled to Pennington to visit the Hopewell Valley Winery. Upon arrival noticed a large tour bus in the parking lot. We walked into the main tasting room which was mostly empty, the tour group appeared to be situated in an adjoining building. We were... First of all, I hate merlot but the music & merlot concept at this vineyard is great. They have brick oven super thin crust pizza, great wines & live music. My only complaint is that the music is a bit loud so if going with the intention of having great conversation, that may or may not happen here! The wines... More

I visited the vineyards with my husband and another couple. We went after dinner for some drinks. When we got there, it was pretty busy but we were able to find a table out on the deck which gave a beautiful sunset view of the vineyards. We were surprised to find that they also served pizza, cheese platters, and even... More

We went on a Saturday afternoon for a tasting. Staff was very friendly and the tasting was very nice. We each had six different wines, but you can choose the package with 10 per person. They give you water and snacks to eat between wines. We stayed for the "Music and Merlot" event and it was such a good environment!... More

we really enjoyed the tasting, so we bought a few bottles of wine and once we opened the bottles they were terrible. Two of the reds (the $25 and the $40 bottles were like vinegar) Being a wine drinker, I have to add that we were careful about temperature in transit and storage, so temperature change/exposure wasn't the problem. I... More
