It is a house near Rutgers that they have tried to restore. But, there isn't much to see. They haven't bothered to put much into curating the house. They bring in displays to try and attract more museum-goers.

This attraction has limited hours - 1 to 4 pm Tuesday through Friday, and Sunday. I happened to arrive when they were closed. However, there is a great little audio tour that you can access with your phone. You get a brief history of the...More

Stopped by on Friday before a game. They were closed for remodeling, but the curator asked us in. Very insightful on a merchant's life in colonial America. We were fortunate to see a historian translating an original will from the 1740s. Very cool. Thanks for...More

Not sure what that is? Visit the museum and find out. Interesting history in a 275 year old house. Also, it's free.

This is another ice small historical treasure right off Rutgers near the visitor center. If you geocache there is one on the pretty paved trail through the woods to the house.

Unfortunately this place is under funded, but still worth a visit. It was once the important home of the old Raritan Landing now lost other than sporatic archelogical finds.

We recently went to see the NJ Diner exhibit because of the rave reviews. It was very disappointing. There were some cool things such as an old booth and the juke box that you could play, and some cool pictures, but it could have been...More

we were looking forward to the diner exhibit, but it was not worth spending time there. first, no pictures allowed in the exhibit, which in hindsight was fine, since there were really only three displays: a diner booth, two letters from an old diner sign...More
