My wife and I booked a private tour just for the two of us on a hot Thursday in August. We were fortunate that Eve was able to arrange for Richard M. to be our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and accommodating. We were enthralled with his stories from 10:30 until 3 (lunch at Chez Alice was an excellent delicious break from the heat). This far exceeded our expectations - both our guide Richard and Princeton. We highly recommend this for all ages and for both visitors and locals.

We've lived in the Princeton area for over 20 years and practically live there on weekends. We walked by historic monuments and homes without knowing their significance. Hearing the history, seeing the everyday objects with the knowledge of what they were and how they've changed over time was both fun and informative. It really changes how you look at your surroundings in a new light.

For $7 you can join a 2 1/2 hour walking tour with knowledgeable volunteers. You see some of Princeton University, Einstein's house, the grounds of the Theological Seminary and other historic venues. I did the tour in the spring when Princeton was beautiful with flowering dogwoods and other beautiful trees. The tour is held most Sundays and you can book your place online or pay on the spot when you meet the guide.

They have quite a few walking tours to boast of and their guides are the best in the world. I have taken almost every tour with them and done so many repeats but every guide has so many new stories and trivia to tell that it all feels like a new experience. The Einstein trivia is always good and the walks will do you good too! Rain or shine, they never ever cancel a walking tour!

We really liked this tour-- very thorough, informative, well-paced. Tour guides are volunteers with Historical Society of Princeton. As visitors, was great way to learn about the colonial history of Princeton and the history of the school. Also a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon-- campus and town are lovely places to spend time and look at architecture, outdoor sculpture, etc.
