This location is great for history people, or just local residents interested in their local history. The house is completely redone as it was in the 1700s. There is also a research library for those who pay a yearly dues.

It was a quiet day at the museum, but the lady allowed me to look around. I enjoyed my visit.The parking was good, and the location was easy to find. This is a museum for those who like small boats.

Small but had a lot of information on things that we have forgotten about in this county. They do change their main display regularly.. In December it was about the railroad in Ocean County. I have gone to numerous work shops on the coastal region...More

Interesting History, Small and Limited, yet glad I visited while still in the area. Could have had more on the American Revolution, History, Battle of Toms River, NJ.

This old house was moved to it's current location to avoid demolition. It is an authentic period house (not remodeled) with many actual furnishings from the original owners. The docent was very knowledgeable which helped create interest. There are limited hours and only guided tours...More

Visited this museum once by accident. Was pleasantly surprised. Lots of history about TR and the early days. (chicken farms) I love history so this museum was a nice surprise It is small but fun to visit

If you enjoy museum this is one of the places you must see. We enjoyed visiting the Toms River. Very beautiful and historical town.

Inside this beautiful, light green house lives memories, artifacts, & pieces of Ocean County/New Jersey history. The staff/volunteers are knowledgeable, kind, & tell wonderful stories of times past. You must check out their Antiques Faire in August!
