This monument marks the spot where the Battle of Trenton occurred after Washington and his men crossed the icy Delaware River. We were there on a Sunday and the monument was not open (but not sure if it really opens to go inside). We stopped...More

Commemorates the December 26th victory of Washington and his Continental Army over the Hessians occupying Trenton. Accomplished after their famously 'crossing the Delaware'. A fine Doric column with battle-related bronze reliefs at the base dedicated in 1893. Stands 150 feet above street level, with a...More

Once you hear the battle of Trenton you should drive by the Battle Monument just to get a perspective of the hill it sits upon for the feel of the battle.

The monument commemorates the December 26, 1776 Battle of Trenton which was a pivotal victory for the Continental forces during the American Revolutionary War. It is a nice monument but not in the nicest area - be careful.

We did a walking tour of the Battle of Trenton and this was the starting place. Area around is a bit iffy but we walked through the neighborhood with no issues.

After touring the Old Barracks yesterday, I drove up to get a good look at the Trenton Battle Monument. It's well documented in the other reviews that this gorgeous monument is in the middle of a part of town ravaged by urban decay which scares...More

We stopped at the monument after touring the state capitol area and felt very uncomfortable getting out of the car to get a close up look.

This 1893 monument marks the slightly elevated ground which Washington's artillery occupied during the Battle of Trenton on the morning after the Christmas night crossing of the Delaware. The granite column has a statue of Washington atop it, pointing in the direction of the Delaware...More
