Well worth it every time!!!!
May 2021 • Family
Have made this 55 min trip many times each summer and fall. Wish I could do it more often but life gets in the way LOL. Well worth it. I've seen complaints about checking cars etc etc. If it keeps the grounds clean, safe, and helps to keep them open, I'm OK with it. Food is where they make their money to keep the place going and the prices are pretty good and comparable. I would change the way popcorn and soda is distributed BC they're the big sellers but that's minor compared to the positives. Where else can you go and get 2 movies, sometimes 3 movies for this price? No where. Great memories for and with the kids, family, and friends. Definitely recommend to those who want the experience when you were growing up and want your kids to have it. Couples or families, it's a great night. You won't be disappointed.

I’m a patron for life.

Went to watch Boss Baby 2 last week with my kids and, like always, this place is amazing. My experiences at this place is always so memorable. The food is good, the staff is nice, and you get 2 movies for the price of one. I hope this place lasts forever. ❤️

Good ole family fun!
Nov 2020 • Family
We go as a family once a year and we always LOVE the experience. We have been 6-8 times. The concession food is good. Last year was a bit tricky with covid and having to order on line even though cell reception isn’t the best out there, but this was an exception. Yes, they do check your car for food and ask that you be honest enough to buy a food pass if you’d like to bring in your own food. I understand because they do make their money just like regular theaters do which is off of the food. No complaints here! I’m happy to share a piece of history with my children. It’s something my family did when I was a child and I like to pass good experiences on. Another bonus, the workers are always nice and working hard to make the experience a good one. I hope they are around for years to come!

Sweet throwback experience!
Apr 2021 • Family
What a fun way to spend an evening with family and friends! Throw back experience that everyone will love and such a great atmosphere. Everyone is there to have a good time and the “concession stand” is surprisingly great. It’s like a mini restaurant, complete with a gluten free section of the menu! Don’t miss the cheapest and most delicious chocolate covered strawberries! Can’t wait to go back! We saw lots of people chillin outside their cars tailgate style, I didn’t think of that but it looked like an alternative to sitting in your car if your car isn’t particularly comfy. Mine is so we were good haha.

Movie Night No-Fun
Nov 2020 • Couples
My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with tickets to the drive in for a fun movie night but realizes he purchased tickets for the wrong screen. When we arrive and mention the dilemma the employees were no help, all seemed afraid to go against the owners request of telling us tough luck pretty much. One even said that the owner says ‘oh well they should have paid attention to what they were clicking’. Rude. There was plenty of open space at the screen we wanted to see but the attendants would not let us switch. Seems like the theater needs a NEW OWNER ASAP bc the current one seems to only care about his own good. The owner had no problem showing his face to tell me not to let my dog (pets allowed on Saturdays) pee on the speakers- even though we were just calmly sitting outside. I would hardly call my experience a family fun experience.

Plus my boyfriend had to wait in the cold for another ten minutes after they told us our food was already done- then we received cold food.

Great family night outdoors
Oct 2020 • Family
Great family night. Arrived 25 min before show, plenty early enough , helpful attendant told me to go to next row and further down closer to snack bar. We were in row 9, great spot. The screen is angled in from entrance so much better viewing at front of the row near snack bar for screen 1 furthest from entry. No rust stain on screen 1 that we noticed. Not great audio if in back rows so rely on your car radio or portable radio speakers which worked just fine. The old audio on post are not functional. Bring flashlight if need to walk after dusk to bathroom etc.
They don’t search your car for food etc but we only had water and snack. Snack bar had a line but we ate before we went. Can be dusty bc not paved, but overall great experience and would go again!

Terrible Place
Aug 2020
This place is terrible. The customer service was horrendous. Sent us to the wrong screen 1st then questioned us when we decided to go to the correct one one it started showing. I understand having to get your food yourself. But if you tell me a time it is supposed to be ready ( normally 30 minutes), and i still have to wait in line for and additional 15 minutes, why is my food still not cooked? Then had the nerve to tell me my refund will be done when they get around to it. This place sucked from the time we got in there. Never even bother staying for the 2nd movie. Never again.

Big Screen Bliss
Jul 2020 • Friends
I am a regular movie-goer and it’s been devastating to me during corona times
not to be able to go see movies on the big screen. I’d seen other people going to drive-ins and decided to see if there were any nearby. That’s how I discovered Delsea. Luckily they were playing a new film that I wanted to see so off we go. Tix were $11 per person. I don’t believe there is any kind of price per car option. Just individual tix like a regular theater. You get two movies for price of tix. They have two screens but you can’t switch to watch one of the films on other screen unless you want to pay for another tix. Masks must be worn currently if you get out of your car. You get the audio through your radio. They’ll jumpstart your car in the event your battery dies. You can’t have your car running during the movie. I brought a portable radio to avoid this issue. I didn’t buy any snacks. You can’t bring in outside food unless you want to buy a $20 waiver. The presentation was great. Picture looked awesome. It was so great to be seeing a movie back on big screen. It’s kind of a far drive for me but I enjoyed it so much I’ve already been back. Movie starts close to 9pm but if you want to get a good spot arrive by like 730p.

Nice classic drive-in theater to watch a classic movie
Jul 2020
We decided to take the family to the drive-in to see a classic...Ghostbusters. We reserved our tickets online ($11 per person plus a processing fee per ticket). Children are the same pricing as adults. Our E-tickets were sent to us in email and via text. Online the theater listed some general rules in addition to the COVID-19 guidelines. Some of the basic rules were that you needed to turn off or cover your headlights to gain entry to the drive-in, car engines cannot be running in the theater, NO smoking and no outside food was permitted without a food permit ($20). Covid policy stated that you need to wear a mask if leaving your car & concession orders were to be placed online ONLY.

We planned on arriving a little early to the show. We got there around 8pm for the 8:35pm show. Once we arrived at the theater (2 movie screen theater), we were questioned as to whether we had any outside food in our vehicle. We showed our tickets. We were given an info sheet and were then instructed to pull ahead. The next attendant would inform us to which way to go for our movie screen. There were 2 separate showings that night. Each screen shows 2 movies back to back. Your ticket gets you admission to both movies showing on your ONE screen. House rules state that you cannot switch from one screen to the other at any point OR you will be charged another admission fee. Screens are kind of at a 90 degree angle to each other. So, you can still view the other screen from the opposing parking lot. Parents should consider this & the rating of the movie on the opposite screen as your children may be able to see the other screen easily! That night Screen 1 (Ghostbusters/Deadpool) was to the LEFT and Screen 2 (Jungle Book/My Spy) was directly ahead of the entrance behind the concessions. SUVS and larger vehicles are not permitted to park in the first 5 rows. We had a car so we were able to park in the front. Screen was NOT huge but was a decent size.

This drive-in is a nice size. It is not too small, but not huge. It felt relaxed and comfortable here. It was basically a large dirt lot with some grass around the edges. We did see some broken glass in the dirt, so that was one downside. There were movie attendants walking around the lot, but they really did not seem to bother anyone. I did see one ask a patron to tie down their hatch as it was extended over the roof-line. He even came back with some rope to help tie it down. So, yes they enforce their rules, but they were nice about it. We even stopped one when we had trouble tuning in the correct station and he was friendly.
Movie started a little late...maybe around 9pm. Most patrons remained in their vehicles for the showing. A few sat in their trunks, in the beds of their pickup trucks or in lawn chairs directly in front of their vehicles. Everyone was wearing masks outside their vehicles and cars were spaced with social distancing in mind. We were there on a Sunday, which is a night when PETS are permitted. We did see a lady walking her dog, but heard no barking during the movie. We also witnessed some fireworks in the sky that night as it was the July 4 weekend.

Overall, we had a nice time at Delsea. The screen was clear. We were able to hear the movie pretty good on our handheld radio. Staff was friendly and fair. They were not overbearing with policing their house rules. We did not buy from concessions but the smell of the funnel cake fries wafting out of the concession stand was heavenly. I would buy in the future when COVID-19 dies down and you can actually visit the concessions. Only issue we had was tuning our radio to the correct station as they have 2 stations for their 2 separate screens & the call numbers must be near each other. We initially got the wrong one since our radio had a dial for tuning the station instead of digital. Also, I did NOT see this rule on their website, but at the entrance it said PHOTOGRAPHY was prohibited.

Tips: Arrive early to get your seat & not distract from the movie. READ the rules before purchasing a ticket. Know how to turn out your cars headlights before attending. Bring a battery powered radio to prevent draining your car battery.

Worth an hour drive, easy.
Sep 2019
The Delsea Drive-In is wonderful. I've literally never had a bad experience there. I've gone with a girl to see action movies. I've taken my son to see children's movies. I've taken my family to see Marvel movies. It's always been great. Even if my son can't make it to the 10:30 start of the second movie, I never feel like I've wasted my money.

Unfortunately, when you search the Delsea Drive-In, the first hit that comes up is a 1 star review saying the Delsea Drive In searches your car for other food. Yes, they do. They make it totally clear that no outside food is allowed in without paying for a food permit. However, for $20, you can bring four pizzas, three orders of fries, and a two-liter bottle of soda.

Confiscating food is an inconvenience. They once took two unopened cases of water from me, and held them until the end of the show. But it doesn't change my feelings on the experiences I've had there.
