As a NJ native, I never knew this place existed - one has to pass through the NJ Trooper checkpoint to access the museum so be prepared. The exhibits ranged from the beginning of the trooper unit through after 9/11. I agree that the Lindbergh exhibit was one of the best at this facility. The rest of this property is... More

Nice State Police Museum. Displays are well situated and interesting. Wall of fame for State Police who died on the job. Interesting exhibit wit items from the Lindeberg kidnapping.

By far the most interesting part of the museum was the evidence which convicted Bruno Hauptmann. From what I could see, he was definitely guilty. The most interesting artifact was the ladder, an expertly made wooden extension ladder. The rest of the museum was OK, nothing special. It's free, but you have to show ID at the gate.

A great place to learn about the history of the New Jersey State Police from its inception circa 1921. A lot of details, pictures, videos and items to view and see what tradition is about and how dedicated the NJSP members are. Worth the visit. Great for students to take on a field trip.

This little gem is hidden off exit 1 on I95. The displays are interesting and have a lot of historical information. The displays of equipment are sparkling. Particularly enjoyed the wall of patches.

What a neat place to view the NJSP from the very beginning of their existence! We enjoy browsing from display to display and stopping at the gift shop to purchase a gift for ourselves or our little ones A great museum representing a great organization!

I've been here a few times with students. We've had great experiences all the times we've gone. The officers who work at the museum are more than accommodating. Definitely not an all day field trip but an hour or so at the museum is perfect. Great little gift shop too!

A small museum that gives the history of the NJ state police. Is an easy drive and a museum you can get through in an hour or so. Great if your kids are boys.

Its not a big museum (basically 1 room of displays)- but its free and it has a police car to climb in. That makes it a winner for both mommy and the 6 yr olds! Both boys are obsessed with the armed forces. We spent about 2 hours pouring over the confiscated gun display, the videos, and of course the... More
