What a scenic stop, I am shocked it is not more popular. With Rock Hyrax and Endemic flat rock lizards (platysaurus), the wildlife and the falls here are totally worth a part of a day at the least. We were there in January when it was a bit too hot for the game drive to be very productive, and much... More

This is so beautiful and the walk is very nice but when you go in summer be sure to wear a lot of sunblock as the temperatures can be outrageous and there is no shade on route.

Stunning & dramatic arid landscape bisected by the Orange River and crowned by the Augrabies Falls! Our group arrived at the National park by river having spent the morning rafting with Kalahari Adventures. We climbed out of the River Canyon and walked to the main building to freshen up in the facilities before taking a tour of the falls. We... More

We had so much fun at the falls, would love to see the falls in full run in normal circumstances. The drought is having a major impact on river levels, nature and absolutely every living creature.

Absolutely stunning scenery and hundreds of rock dassies which were great fun to watch early morning and late afternoon. However the falls were the highlight and the park has built walkways to several superb view points. It was good to see that there was excellent access for the disabled. The chalet was well equipped and comfortable and the only downside... More

It has always been my dream to see the Falls for myself. My son and other family members went years ago. We arrived, presented our Wild cards (so we didn't even pay) and off we set for the Falls. Reception told us that it was a bit low so we continued walking on the lovely walkway till we eventually heard... More

Now this is a “sight” that you might want to skip or better not even take the detour to Augrabies as there is really nothing to see at all. The entrance fee you pay and the endless unnecessary speed-bumps before reaching the waterfall do not justify what you will see. Okay, somehow it is interesting that there is a waterfall... More

If you are a nature lover you will enjoy the Augrabies Falls national park. The falls are the centre piece of the park and are worth the trip alone as they are a sight to behold. Children will enjoy the park also as there are dassies everywhere you go and they are quite used to humans so you can see... More

Great campsite and amazing views. Nice clean ablutions and an added benefit of a well stocked shop. Lots of swimming pools which is a huge relief in the heat!
