We planned our roadtrip because of wanting to visit the falls and it most definitely didn;t dissappoint. When we arrived we thought we were in for a dry spell and then we started hearing the magic of roaring water. The walking paths are done beautifully...More

This is a gem in the arid region of South Africa. Very hot in Summer and very cold in Winter. We've experienced both extremes. The last visit was in Winter, much more pleasant. We also took a night drive. Our guide was Attie - a...More

We had an incredible day at the falls!! It was so awesome to be able to walk right up to the waterfalls. My parents are elderly (75 & 77) and they could easily get to the viewpoints. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

En route to Kgalagadi, we stopped over to see the falls. Very well maintained site, well done to SanParks. Get a WildCard for all of the parks, and your entry is free. Easy to navigate walk ways get you to the falls, and there are...More

The Augrabies Falls national park is a natural water flow through the mountains of the falls. Go there and position yourself appropriately, you will hear the noise made by the water as it flows and hits against the big rocks, a good view as well,...More

We were privileged to experience the falls when the river was in flood in April 2018. What a sight and what a sound! The walkways makes it easy to negotiate the area along the falls and there is ample place for visitors to stand and...More

I have been taking family and friends to Augrabies for decades. It is my favourite space on the planet. Each time I go I hope that the staff will have become friendly, engaging or at least interested in you arriving. It never happens. It would...More

A great place to visit. I would highly recommend add this destination to your trip. It will take you an hour to an hour and a half to view to falls and you won't need much more time than that.

The falls are surrounded by excellent timber walkways and viewing platforms, so it is easy to get around and view different aspects. I'm generally underwhelmed by waterfalls, but this one is worth spending a good hour, if it is on your itinerary. There's a large...More

The road to the falls itself you will be fine as it is tarred. Even within the park you should be fine to drive the gravel roads, but do not attempt the 4x4 marked roads.

For day visitors it is 07:00-18:00. The falls are obviously the main attraction, but you can take a game drive on the marked paths which I always enjoy. There are a few walking routes if you want to walk but take water with... More

I travelled JBG - Mokala and then onto Augrabies and loved it. The only problem is that I don't think you've got long enough to enjoy Mokala. I stayed for three nights and then moved onto Augrabies for just two nights... More
