Cracking wine cellar experience at Lynx. 5 delicious wines to taste, 1 rose, 1 white 2 reds and a dessert wine. Our favourite was the Viognier. The cellar tour after the tasting was really informative as well. If your looking for a relaxed intimate vineyard visit then you can't go wrong with a visit to Lynx!

We visited Lynx during an "off the beaten track" wine tour and we are so pleased that we did! No gift shop, no restaurant, no art gallery just a small producer of exceptional wines at incredible prices. Our tasting and tour was given by a member of staff who actually makes the wine and his knowledge was 1st class. All... More

Lynx is very small so we were the only people having a tasting. The wines are very good, the service good and the views really nice. Good place to put in your itinerary.

Small winery with good quality wines. Tasting preceded by tour in the winery with enthusiastic and knowledgeable explanation of the wine making process. Tasting itself was simple, but good with again enthusiastic and professional comments from the local worker. The winery doesn't have the grandeur of some of the big estates, but this is more than compensated by the quality... More

We had a great time visiting this vineyards. Such a shame its not on the wine tram route, a lot of people probably miss out because of this. The personal attention was great, they made us feel very welcome, never rushed. And best part was their wine. Really good modern wines. We love lynx!

We are not fans of the huge estate tours and so decided to visit the Lynx winery just outside Franschhoek. It is very low key, but has a good range of wines. We tasted 5 wines - 2 white 3 red, plus a very appealing dessert wine. Ask about the history of the vineyard. The cellar tour is short because... More

The Lynx brand may not be as well known as some of the bigger names in the area, but don’t let that fool you. The winery is small and hands-on and we received a detailed tour of every step of the wine making process with very clear explanations. We’ve been to a number of wineries before, yet we went away... Thanks for your review! I'm so glad you the cellar tour and the tasting - we pride ourselves in explaining the winemaking process step-by-step, and our hands-on cellar is ideal for that. Glad you enjoyed the wines too! More

We visited Lynx on recommendation of the hostess at our guest house as a unique, small family winery and were not disappointed. There are gorgeous views surrounding Lynx, as well as great wine to top things off. Because it is a small winery, we received one-one attention and given lots of interesting information regarding Lynx wines. We particularly liked the... More

I have been familiar with Lynx beautiful Blanc de Noir for a few years and Helgard gets it even more delicious each year. At last we made a visit and were so impressed. Helgard is so informative about his passion of making beautiful wines. We tasted a great selection whilst playing in the gardens with our son. Highly recommend. Very... More

Did a tasting here yesterday and wasn't blown away by their wines. They only have 5 wines open on any given day so you cannot taste all their wines. Understandably so because it's a small estate and do not get that many visitors. The wine farm has gorgeous views and certainly worth visiting for the views. Their Viognier was good.... More
