During a recent visit to the Franschhoek wine region, we visited the Rickety Bridge Winery. What a beautiful and historic winery! The staff at the tasting room were very friendly and helpful! They provided excellent information on the wines, which were fantastic! The Printers Devil...More

We did the wine-pairing lunch in the bistro which is very informal. Good small food portions. Then moved on to dot he tasting. This time we opted for the top range, 3 wines of choice but we got the white Semillon as a goodie treatment...More

So not just another tasting! Blending your own wine under the watchful eye of a winemaker is a rather novel experience. I'm not sure if I'll ever open my Shiraz, Merlot, Pinotage blend with a unique personal label (which looked much better after a couple...More

Pay no attention to the grumbling reviews! This estate is amongst my favourites in the Western Cape. Amazing setting, amazing food and of course amazing food.

Although we’ve been to Franschhoek numerous times this was our first visit to Rickey Bridge. I think we’ve avoided it mainly because it’s on the Wine Tram route and we expected it to be quite busy and very commercial. It wasn’t ! There were lots...More
