Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After you pass a particular point you are required to pay, which us perfectly fine. However that particular pay point does not accept card payments (in the year 2023)! You are then sent all the way to the toll gate (at the very end of the drive to make payment. Once there you are required to pay to exit & if you want to go back (the way you came) you need to pay again to “re-enter”. Absolute joke!

One of the most wonderful drives around Cape Town together with that to Betty’s Bay. Incredible views that make you want to take photo after photo. Well worth the small toll that one has to pay

Did this on our way to Cape of good hope from Cape Town. It’s a scenic drive with water on one side and mountains on another. There are point in between where you can park and take scenic pictures. Note this is a paid private road. You pay each way. We just went one way. It’s a beautiful scenic drive worth doing once.

This drive made the lockdown so much easier... nature at its best!

The views are spectacular.. there are many stop points to just take it all in and many photograph moments to take home as a souvenir.. you’ll never be disappointed..

Perfect place to go for the soul!

One of the best lookout points on Chapmans Peak Drive you can park your vehicle and take in the marvellous views over Hout Bay, Dungeons, the surrounding mountains. Just over the Peak is a view of Noordhoek Beach, 11kms of white sands and turquoise ocean as you make your way towards the peninsula. A world class mountain drive.

Worth a drive, the views are simply stunning. Lots of stopping points to take photos. Alarmingly close to the sea in places!

Beautiful drive with dramatic sceneries and views. A Must! A pity I was the driver and had to watch the winding road.
