Visited on a hot day with 3 young children and 3 adults. 90R each to get it. Staff not helpful at all. No guidance, they didn't even tell us the park was closing. We only found out because the doors were locked and everyone had buggered off home when we went to leave - locked in!! UNreal. Half the monkeys... More

I highly recommend a visit to Monkey Town. I have spent a lot of time with the large variety of monkeys and animals at Monkey Town and each one of them has a wonderful personality and enjoy the attention they get from the visitors who come to see them. The animals are well cared for and well fed and they... More

It was a nice and enjoyable outing. They do not have a large selection, but the guide knows how to get younger children engaged. He realy enjoyed teaching them about apes and monkeys and the differences. Nice to see how he warns kids about all the responsibilities about having them for pets.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are really glad you enjoyed your outing to Monkey Town. It is a pity that you mention that we don't have a large selection - we have 28 different species of monkeys and apes, 35 different species of reptiles and in total nearly 100 different species of animals at... A bit of wildlife in Somerset West, unfortunately with noise pollution of the N2. Not well enough indicated, but we found it. Large parking area in shade of trees :-) Some renovation is advisable of the entrance hall - good idea to include a terrace to enjoy a coffee and cake. Benches in the cage are a good idea, you... Good day Thank you very much for your reply. Monkey Town was built 17 year ago when the N2 was a small road that was barely used. We were literally out of town!! In 2007 (if I remember my dates correctly now) the N2 was changed to 4 lanes and the traffic is now a non-stop situation. When the N2... More

I have been fortunate enough to be a regular visitor at Monkey Town for the past few years, and I simply can not rate Monkey Town highly enough! If you're an animal lover by any means, then this is by far the best place to visit in the Western Cape area. The main attraction would be the feeding of the... More

We had so much fun at Monkey town. To see all the different kind of monkeys, my son enjoyed it so much. The best was the chimps. We arrived on feeding time so it was awesome to see how they ate in their own habitat.

We had my son's birthday party at Monkey Town. The facilities are tired and are in need of upgrading. The kids enjoyed the outing.

Friendly staff at the front but the animals are in cages and don't appear to be well kept. Warning at the chimpanzee section the animals are above you and are defecating and urinating on you as you pass under them. Our 5 yo became hysterical as the animals chase you as you move away. All in all not a child... More
