Little shops to walk through and a spa as well. I would recommend Millhouse kitchen over the smaller coffee shop, service is much better. Wine tasting is worth it and well presented. Don’t miss the Wedgewood store!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 8 October 2023
- Natalie WManchester, United Kingdom12 contributionsVinfari - exceptional! This morning we went on the Vinfari at Lourensford and it was an exceptional time! My parents live locally so I’m very used to spending time at Lourensford generally and I know what a beautiful place it is. But this gave all of us a very different sense of the massive farm that it is, and an appreciation for it that I don’t think we would ever have unless we did something like this morning’s adventure. Our hosts Jaco and Ronel were very friendly and Chad who is learning was equally wonderful and knowledgable and I would rate it 11/10 overall if I could. We had a flight of wines and a wonderful platter to end off the experience with. All of the spots we stopped off at for a glass of wine were special and it’s definitely up there in terms of a fabulous experience that is also value for money. I will be back - and I’ll definitely be telling our friends that this is one not to be missed! Keep up the good work and thank you so much for a wonderful day!Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 5 February 2024
- EllenChrOslo, Norway2,603 contributionsSimply wonderfulWe loved this place. It was just next to our hotel, so its only a ten minutes walk to the main area. The park itself is lovely. I undersjanger that there is a Market on the weekends, but we were here on a wednesday and there was quite a lot to do. There is sculptures all around the Gardens and they are really good. There is also a Gallery showing more art. There’s a wonderful sweet and bisquit shop and a nice clothshop as well. The winery is awsome. Their wine tasting with pairings (several alternatives) is really something you must try.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 March 2024

From the training to the actual "hunt". They got on really well with their guide and much laughter was shared. My husband said it was a wonderful gift and the boys said they would do it every day if they could :)Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 June 2024

We went for lunch and were shocked to find parking barriers at the gate. This is a destination venue, where people are coming to spend money at the wine estate and they are charging for parking! We were shocked and can’t believe a wine estate would charge parking. To top it all off the ticket machine at the barrier isn’t even contactless.

Lourensford is really a beautiful wine estate with lovely garden features, restaurant, coffee barista and wine cellar.
However.....
Why would Lourensford also member of The Cape Leopard Trust allow a big calibre shooting range on their farm? I am living in the Golden Acre vicinity and one can clearly hear the gunshots from the shooting range. Lourensford clearly has no regard for noise pollution or their neighbors. I am not even talking about the wildlife.

Really great time! Very friendly staff, our waiter (Kyle) was very friendly and enthusiastic. The wines were great and prices were very decent. We first had our wine tasting inside the building right next to the big wine tanks (?), and after the tasting we bought a bottle and sat outside on the bean bags. Beautiful scenery, great wine, great time.

One of the best experiences I have had in years with my family. I have lived in Cape Town for 4 years and this is the first time I took my family out here! The atmosphere is great, the food is good, they even roast their own coffee there, which is just as exceptional as the wine. All of this brings back a sense of normalcy in these really difficult times. I just wish I knew about obout is before.Thank you!

We had visited Lourensford some four years earlier for ordinary tasting. That was such a nice experience.
Now we had booked Vinfari in advance. OK, 650R/person is money - but this experience was worth of every rand!
Jaco and Ronel (sorry, if wrong spelling) were excellent guides on our drive around the farm. Enjoyed great wines, saw nice sceneries and learned so much about wines and other agricultural sections of Lourensford. After the drive (during which we saw also animals) there was informative cellar tour and then tasting with magnificient platters - after that there was no room for afternoon lunch (and just little dinner). Tasting was really generous!
There are also nice shops on the area - and gardens. I bought some high quality coffee.

I visited the spa with 3 other families members needless to say it was nothing short of amazing. We all had great therapists and throughly enjoyed the treatments. The process was super easy from the get go Marc was extremely helpful with regards to bookings and accommodating us. Definitely worth a try!

The worst spa experience I've ever had. This was a birthday gift it wasn't relaxing at all staff are inexperienced and the treatments were cut short. I would not recommend this spa to anyone what a waste of time and money.

Lovely place to spend a few hours. Some small shops to wander around, a maze to get lost in, and s nice terrace for lunch or just coffee and cake. Friday nights there is a popular artisan market.
