AJ was fantastic! We sat at a table right next to the garden. The service was great. The scenery was stellar. We walked around the grounds and every staff member was polite and seemed happy to have guests there. The children's playground is a lifesaver...More
The cellar tour was really interesting - and the tastings delicious and well presented. The gardens are so pretty and lunch in the Stables was one of our nicest meals. If you only do one of these on your trip - make sure it is...More

Being out in nature on this superb estate calms down anyone and put you in a picnic mood. Beautiful in season flowers and indigenous plants in mass. Be prepared to stroll a lot if you really want to see, experience and enjoy it all.

Wandering through the beautiful gardens, between the giant Kamphor trees you can get up to speed with the SA history in the restored farm. Wine tasting is a delight in the modern part of Vergelegen, walking through the gardens a total must!
