Description:

Founded by Italian-born Susanna Perini in 1994, BIASA's first collection...

Founded by Italian-born Susanna Perini in 1994, BIASA's first collection was showcased in a small, rustic yet contemporary stand-alone boutique in Seminyak, Bali. Surrounded by rice fields and away from the hustle of bustle of Kuta, the capital city, the boutique was only one of a few on the street at the time and a first of its kind on the island offering innovative sophisticated 'resort wear'.

BIASA quickly gained a large following with residents and visitors to Bali inspired by the brand's unique approach to understated elegance, a vision Susanna was deeply inspired by in her work. Susanna continued to produce new and innovative collections using natural dying methods, hand woven and stitched material with hand crafted details by local artisans.

BIASA's signature style; the combination of creative cuts, artisanal details and natural materials perfect for tropical havens and warm weather were so highly sought after, the humble store in Seminyak could no longer manage the number of visitors it received daily. BIASA moved into the boutique which is now its flagship in 1996. Beautifully designed, the new home of the brand allowed it to continue to meet the demands of its fans.

Almost twenty years later, BIASA has grown to become one of the most established and unique fashion brands on the island with an international following spanning across the globe. Besides Seminyak, the brand has stores in Ubud, the artistic capital of the island and Sanur, best known for its beautiful beaches, along with Kemang in Jakarta, a bustling a vibrant area of the city, each BIASA boutique is architecturally unique, creating an exuberating experience for visitors wishing to wander through rails of unique designs in seasonal colours.

In December 2013, the brand celebrated the addition of a new store which saw the Seminyak gallery transformed into an art and lifestyle haven. BIASA+ sees Susanna's passion for both art and fashion combined along with the addition of home ware and lifestyle products.

Good quality but very pricy

The quality at this shop is good but expensive. Also they could with a wider range of items. Visit this place if you can. It will only take 15-30 minutes

I know this store for a long time. Clothing is good, but the service is terrible, staff unfriendly. Asked to postpone things for a day. The sellers asked for a Deposit! The next day our stuff was gone. Terrible service!

An avid shopper in Australia and a lover of beautiful fabrics I was looking forward to my visit. But I was sourly disappointed, the staff were rude and preoccupied with themselves rather than the customers in the store. I was ready to purchase and leave with beautiful items but after the service I received I simply left empty handed.

The space is an open concept museum-like interior, though there are organic elements like the change room "pods" and the bathroom with white stones laid in the sink bowl that keep a fine balance that works to creates a zen-like atmosphere. After spending about an hour whether to purchase an item and finally doing so, I was 100% happy with... More

Love this clothing store. The Indian cotton fabrics are fabulous and made into very wearable clothing with a twist to each style. Great colours and great accessories to go with them. I visit this store regularly to find new pieces to add to my existing collection of Biasa clothing. I've also taken all my visitors to this store and everyone's... More

I was looking forward to visiting Biasa in Bali to find something that I saw on the Biasa website. I went to the Seminyak store and the women was snooty and uninterested in helping me. People like that shouldn't work in customer service. It reflects poorly on the company. I have money to spend on fashion in Bali but I... More
