Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A mini temple wonderland. Lots of Buddhist temples, statues and deities to see, and worship if you are so inclined.
I went during a Buddhist holiday so the place was very busy with worshipers. Very interesting to see how people paid their respects.
Nice cafe situated in the middle of the complex too. Near the water fountain.
Worth a look.

I came here today and wasn't too excited by this temple. It's many small things to look at like little waterfalls and Buddha statues around. The main part isn't too big or that cool.

It's always a pleasure visiting this Buddhist temple. Lovely surroundings and many attractions. A person feels at peace visiting there and the waterfall and other small shrines are lovely to view and experience. Say a prayer or just pay some respect by burning some incense, lighting a candle and hanging a small wreath of flowers. It can be bought at the temple for a mere THB20.
Highly recommended visiting Korat.

On the plus side, this wat does look different from most Thai wats because it is shaped like a Chinese junk and it is covered in brown ceramic tiles. Overall, it has a 1960s modernist look, which is not surprising seeing how it was built in 1967. However, it is more of a local attraction than something foreigners will go out of their way to see. This is one for people with time on their hands only.

Wat Sala Loi is a Buddhist temple that Ya Mo's cremains kept here.
Ya Mo was one of great heroine of Thailand, who protected our country in past time.
Also this temple has a modern architecture building, not like other classical building of temple in Thailand.

The design of the main building and Buddha is really unusual. There is also a garden with superhero statues behind. Some of the statues look faded but that is part of the charm.

Though the temple itself is not old but it holds the famous statue of Lady Yamo who along with her band lady warriors cropped their hair to resemble men and fought fiercely the advancing burmese army. She is highly regarded as the saviour of Korat. The temple is well layed out with courtyards, prayer recital chambers and you will see a neverending line of Buddhist devotees paying respect to both Lady Yamo as well as Buddha himself. There are clean restrooms and even a tourist police booth inside the temple courtyard.A small buddhist zen park with water features is also present.

how do you get there from the city of Nakhon Ratchasima or Korat?
Written 11 November 2015
By tuk-tuk, about 60-100 baht, depend on negotiation.
By taxi, no need to negotiate.
