Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The temple is nothing special, just a bunch of buildings and statues that look like they were built yesterday. There is no history or culture here, just a tourist trap. The view of the sea is nice, but you can see that from anywhere on the island. The temple is also very crowded and noisy, not peaceful at all. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the real Phu Quoc.

Visited here as pat of a TUI island tour and it was a nice calm place to visit away from the crowds, plenty of time to just quietly explore this temple, the views are good when at the top of steps, plenty of photo opportunities....just enjoy the tranquility. Recommended.

Ho Quoc Temple Phu Quoc is a disappointing attraction that does not live up to its hype. The temple is poorly maintained, the staff are rude and unhelpful, and the views are obstructed by construction and pollution. The temple is also far from the main tourist areas and requires a long and bumpy ride to get there. I do not recommend wasting your time and money on this place.

This temple is really worth of visiting. Nice location toward the sea. Buildings and statues are nice. Lot of places to have good photos. Many people were here also due to the Vietnamese New Year.

Just recently visited Bangkok and every temple there - when this was a suggested visit here I thought it would be no where near as good. How wrong was I? Absolutely beautiful, peaceful place overlooking the sea. Usual dress code for temples and many steps but a must see. Probably the best attraction in Phu Quoc.

Serenity. Peacefulness. Beautiful location. One side is green hills and the other side is the sea. Cherry on top: its very clean and well maintained. A good place to slow down the pace of life a bit. Highly recommended.

We had booked a private car through our Hotel and driver took us here. This w is a very beautiful temple with amazing views all around and view of the ocean. We enjoyed our stop here and took many pictures. Beautiful scenery and felt calm here.

The Temple is a bit far from town, the drive is about 20 minutes. The temple and pagoda are located on the hill side. Make sure to have the strong knees to step up lot of high stairs. The views are good when at the top of steps. The Temple was a nice calm place to visit. Plenty of time to just quietly explore this temple. Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with Mr Trang from RedRiver Tours, explaining the history and features of the temple and site.

Must visit if on island. Spectacular views of temple and ocean beyond. I reached by tour and was able to walk throughout temple area and was taken by the beauty of location and cleanliness of grounds. Simply beautiful.

Leider ist die Ortsangabe falsch. Der Tempel ist im Südwesten bei Sao Bao Beach und nicht oben im Norden
