You'll walk through the length of the bazaar on the way to the fortress. The bazaar seems geared towards tourists rather than locals and most of them sell very similar stuff, although I found a few interesting shops selling antiques and old Communist era magazines. I liked the cobbled streets and its definitely worth stopping to browse in some of... More

The atmosphere is nice. My daughter and I were the first tourists of the day and were invited to all shops. We bought a few souvenirs. Many shops sell the same stuff, but there is enough variety to make it worthwhile. There are antiques, hand made woolen carpets, pottery, t- shirts, mugs, etc. There is also a place to drink... It was supposed to be one of the most attractive places in Kruje but it was just full of people trying to sell the same products in every single shop. Antique shops were more interesting offering genuine products. Good to take a walk there after seeing the Castle.

Every shop you pass has someone outside trying to engage you and get you look at their stuff. It gets tiresome quickly. There is a lot of interesting stuff, but a lot of tatt also.

Crooked street which will guid you under the Kruja castle, full of treasures, old and new things- amazing hand made jewelery- you can feel an orient really close to you.

The bazaar has some really nice stuff available to purchase. Although many stalls sell similar items, we spoke to some of the shop owners who were selling their own unique handcrafted items. As artists ourselves we could definitely appreciate this and, of course, thought these items would make great gifts. However, unlike anywhere else we visited in Albania, we felt... More

This bazaar is located high on a mountain in the shadow of the castle. There are many artisanal and more touristy items. It is very picturesque and adds to the experience when visiting the castle and the ethnographic museum.

Great! Actually enjoyed visiting all little shops and seeing all hand made products and historical objects. Some of the items for sale was like a walk down the memory lane. Prices very reasonable , always possible to get a bargain. Enjoyed the visit.

We walked through the bazaar on our way to the castle and museum. It is a relatively small, but attractive enough, area. We had strollers for our children, and got through the bazaar with some difficulty. While it is an interesting spot, it seemed to be pretty typical of most tourist areas, and we did not buy anything there so... More
