I had been to Trujillo's a couple of years ago, and wanted to return. It was a lovely an experience as I remembered. We were greeted warmly. The proprietor showed us the pottery we were interested in, and gave us background on the potters and their work. The weavings were our primary goal - they have a beautiful selection in... More

We stopped and shopped at Trujillo's Weaving Shed during our visit to Chimayo and had a wonder time visiting with Carlos. He took the time to explain the various weaves and we got to see his grandfather's loom still being used to produce beautiful rugs today. Don't pass by Trujillo's without stopping!

They have jewelry that we later saw at the Art Fair in Taos too. The weaving is gorgeous. They will do custom work too: any size, color, design.

My father and I have been visiting Trujillo's for 40 years. Originally dealing with the father and now the son. We have several items including rugs, runners, placemats and other items. Great design, some traditional, but all beautiful. I plan to buy more and always recommend them as a place to visit. Watch the rugs being made is as much... More

You can watch people weaving rugs in person here. They sell rugs for a fair price. They also have some jewelry.

Authentic old looms aren't just for looks, and the man working there is probably the founder's son and owner. What a nice guy, ready and able to give you as much information as you want. Although he does a lot of custom orders, you can still select from a pretty decent inventory of rugs and other weaving. In addition, Trujillo's... More

Beautiful weavings. Loved the colors and variety of patterns. I learned a lot about weaving. Enjoyed the fact that their looms are handmade. Lots of variety and price ranges. Definitely recommend.

Another stop via recommendation and pleased that we did. We wanted to see authentic SW weaving in progress, and that we did. The Trujillo family members were so cordial and helpful in learning about SW weaving, looms, wool sources, color selections and quality. Many rugs in progress on the looms and a wonderfully varied selection of woven products. Found a... More

We stopped in a few days ago, and I am so glad that we did. We met the owner, who explained that this is a family business that has been running for generations. He actually grew up in the building, what is now a rug showroom used to be his bedroom! The rugs are stunning, and it is fascinating to... More

On a recent visit to Chimayo, I was very glad to have stopped at Truillo's. It is a small shop that is filled with looms (many of which have been hand-made by members of Carlos Trujillo's family) and woven items (rugs, blankets, table runners, pillows, bags and more). I purchased a gorgeous bag with a traditional Chimayo design that was... More
