Garbage. While it is an Army Corp of Engineer site, it is garbage. Campground is just trashy, mostly without any hook-ups for those of you RVers. Facilities are filthy and lake is no wake throughout. If you can, keep going. We have. 40’ coach and...More

Cochiti Lake in New Mexico - Army Core of Engineers. This was a 45 minute drive North from Albuquerque's west side for us. The lake offers two public recreation areas: Cochiti on the west side of the lake and Tetilla Peak on the east side....More

This is a nice park in the hills south of Santa Fe. It is on a reservoir but don't anticipate being on the water, near the water or even being able to have much of a view. The sites are spacious, with a shelter and...More

Pro: senior passes accepted. Convenient stop on our annual sojourn North. Juniper loop has W/E on inside loop, outside loop is only E. Some sites will require 75' water hose. Even Google 3D doesn't do justice to the hilly terrain. We are literally backed into...More

We did not go there to camp out or fish, just to visit the area. We only saw the dam from far away and it did not look like the lake had very much water. The place, however, looked peaceful. Driving further to get to...More

Came for six days so we could check out the area. We have a 35 foot RV and easily got into our site in Ringtail Cat loop. This loop is “dry” without hookups. But it has the best most modern sites with new concrete pads...More

There is no drinking at this lake. When someone goes to the lake website you would think they would try to make that very very clear.. i mean its a lake! Seems they try their best to hide this info from the website, when you...More

Stopped here on the way to play golf. Nice lake with small boats and sail boats. Will come back and try getting a boat out on the water. Clean area.

I walked a few of the trails accessible from the lookout point which gives a great overview of the area. A little monochromatic, at least with the light on the day I went, but lovely nonetheless. Camping available as well as a boat ramp for...More

Cochiti Lake is five miles from Tent Rocks National Monument, which has fascinating geological formations. If you have an America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Senior Pass you can stay for half price. Bathrooms are clean and have hot...More

Yes cochiti is currently open. However, reservations whether you call or go online will not allow you to reserve a spot on demand. You have to make reservations 3 days in advance. The campground does offer walk up spaces... More
