New Mexico History!

Casa San Ysidro will give you good idea of the Spanish Colonization of this area. Children and adults alike will learn from touring the museum.

One of the highlights of our trip to Corrales, NM. We enjoyed a tour with a very knowledgeable docent. Memorable experience!

A friend, visiting from out of state, and I got a personal tour of this charming historic adobe homestead. Our docent, Mary, was very informative about the family's lifestyle and New Mexico history. It was a wonderful trip.

Had and arts and crafts event there and took a tour of the house. Lots of old furniture and artifacts from Old NM. Worth the trip.

One of the most interesting historical sites in the ABQ area, the tour lasts about 1.5 hours. Owned by the historical society, the docents are engaged and well versed in local lore. You can also visit the old church and cemetery in the same area. There is a chapel, church, blacksmith area - a complete compound to explore.

Today my wife and I accompanied our 10 year old grandsons fifth grade class. What a wonderful experience. The history provided by the docent was first rate .the artifacts priceless ,the home wonderful. Just sorry we never went in the past .But we will return. You have the opportunity stop and visit.

Now run by art museum where I picked up a clearly modified schedule, but it too was wrong. They now close December and January as posted after a 30 minute drive there. So call since all three source that should have provided accurate info were wrong! Truly disappointing.

Casa San Ysidro is a gem of living history for the Spanish and Mexico Southwest. Lovingly restored it provides a detailed history of how our ancestors lived and worked. The rooms, the buildings, the artifacts, the attention to detail brings the 1700 and 1800's truly alive. The docents who lovingly care for this treasure make the experience what it is.... More

The Casa San Ysidro is a former home that has been transformed into museum where you can see how the early Hispanic families lived in New Mexico. It is set across the street from the old Catholic Church that is now a community center. The only problem is openly only a few times a year for the public, but I... More
