They say see animals in their natural environment. There's nothing natural about small cages. It was very disturbing to see how small the enclosures were. The animals looked distressed. I appreciate the efforts of the volunteers and the rescue mission but to rescue animals and...More

I had been searching for off the beaten path things to do near Albuquerque and came across this place. It sounded pretty cool from the reviews so we added an addition to our route to Sandi Peak and Tinkertown. I don't know what these other...More

I had mixed feelings about this place. The animals are rescues that have been injured or have become acclimated to humans and cannot be released back into the wild. Some of the habitats are extensive and natural; others are large cages. The place is privately...More

Loved it. Safe place for animals and birds to live who are unable to live in the wild. I highly recommend a visit while in New Mexico.

I appreciate these people trying to help affected animals but this is really a zoo not a sanctusry. I witnessed small enclosures and sad faces within the cages while people gawk and yell at these poor creatures. I have urged them to utilize all that...More

This is one of my favorite “zoos” because it is all Native NM animals!! And it is a fabulous venue for parties, supper events and music events. We’ve returned year after year for music suppers, church parties, and to take walks to see the bears,...More
