More
A wildlife preserve and "enhanced zoo" located just 20 minutes from Albuquerque, New Mexico in nearby Edgewood. Conveniently located near Interstate 40 and Route 66. Wildlife West Nature Park provides a very special look into the animals and plants that are part of the ecosystems of New Mexico and the Southwestern United States. All the birds and animals at Wildlife West Nature Park are non-releasable, keeping with our philosophy of bringing education to the public without harming ecological balances in other parts of the region. Our habitats are designed to provide the best possible combination of viewing opportunities and harmonious living for our residents, and our animal enrichment programs ensure that our animals are both physically and mentally healthy.

They say see animals in their natural environment. There's nothing natural about small cages. It was very disturbing to see how small the enclosures were. The animals looked distressed. I appreciate the efforts of the volunteers and the rescue mission but to rescue animals and...More

Loved this place. Staff was friendly and animals were amazing. Especially LOVED the affectionate little mule deer who came up and didn't want us to stop petting her. Definitely a hidden gem!

Most of the animals are rescued. They are well taken care of and this place needs your admission $$ to keep going. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
