We did not expect the excellent treatment we received when we went to Richardsons Trading. My wife and I are aficionados of all things western and we were not disappointed at Richardsons. Helping the local American Indians, we learned how trading posts and pawn really...More

Very old, feature packed store, with a fascinating array of Indian wares and a lovely salesman of old world charm. Unfortunately everything for sale was well above our merge budget and we left, empty handed.

Richardson's is a Gallup institution and has been in business for more than a century ("Since 1913"). It's the kind of place that could be mistaken for a museum, but everything's for sale; dead pawn (silver jewelry is highly recommended), spectacular rugs, kachinas from craftsmen...More

This is a real trading post. I would consider it as "southwestern supermarket". Locals may find some specialty items for their farming, hunting, and related businesses, such as rifles, saddles, etc. Also plates, pots painted by natives, jewelry, valuable stones, model wooden sculptures, and even...More

When I was a little kid I used to always like going into this pawnshop just to look at the jewelry they have in their showcase. Just looking at the many types Native American jewelry is an art work in itself.
