We grabbed some sandwiches in town and ate in the shade of some huge cottonwood trees surrounded by beautiful Iris flowers. A simple and calm respite from a busy vacation.

I have had many chances to visit but this is the first time I was able to visit while the iris had this many blooms. I love that they have so many informed people working the grounds. The gift shop is amazing too!

We made an unscheduled stop in route to somewhere else along highway between Roswell and Ruidoso. Grounds are absolutely lovely and worth the stop. Do not judge by look from road. The gift shop is equally surprising. Donation for garden upkeep accepted which was well...More
