We were only able to stop for a short time, but we really enjoyed seeing Battleship Rock. The rock formations are very unique and the colors were unexpected and beautiful. It was very busy, even during the middle of the week, but very much worth...More

Battleship Rock is a sort of focal point for other things in the Valley. Besides a wonderful view of the escarpment towering above, and a beautifully maintained picnic ground and day-use area, it marks the confluence of the East Fork and San Antonio as they...More

My boyfriend and I parked at Battleship Rock to begin our hike to the warm springs. We thought the park was very nice and the actual Battleship Rock was beautiful. Be prepared with the $5 entrance/parking fee to support the state park. It is a...More

The reds just glow. If heading west this rock cliff just appears out of now where. Take the time to walk down by the river below it though you can hear the waterfall from the top.

Excellent hiking or picnic spot. Hiking for all levels (though the parking lot to trail was steep) with some more challenging hiking as well as some easy hiking on sidewalks and very well groomed trails.

The drive on Route 4 is worthwhile. Battleship rock is just one of many scenes as you are driving through. While a friend drove, we looked at it from the inside of a car. If we had not been looking for it, we would have...More

Battleship Rock is a natural rock formation that resembles the prow of a battleship. It is located near Jemez Springs, NM, about an hour north of Albuquerque.

All of a sudden this magnificent rock structure appears before you, it is breathtaking. I was disappointed to not be able to get out and explore around it but there were torrential rains at the time. Hope to return sometime soon.
