Very neat place to visit especially if you like trains and history. We enjoyed this place. It's small but lots of info and a Volunteer is always onsite to provide info as well.

They have history on the railroad in Las Cruces. There is a large miniature railroad set up that children and adults both will enjoy. There are always trains coming by outside.

The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is in the old train depot, some of which is original. There are interesting exhibits on the first floor and lots of model train exhibits. Docents are informative and friendly.

I just wish they would extend the railroad to Belen then we could go all the way to Alq. It would be a great ride for grandma and her grandchildren.

Overall it was a very nice experience. Although I would have like to seen some actual trains to view (they are fixing up a caboose), the inside more than made up for it. The model train sets were exquisite and the history of the area...More

We came here because somewhere I read there was a Fred Harvey aspect to the Station. (Fred Harvey, if you aren't familiar, Google him! He civilized the West with his upscale railroad dining) Anyway, the only thing Fred Harvey inspired here was a small curio...More
