This Roadrunner was created from items that were found and recycled. There are old crutches that help support his wings, headlights for eyes, and many other amazing things that were put into his creation. It is a well known attraction at the Rest Area on...More

This sculpture, when observing it for the first time, causes one to wonder "what in the world"... After realizing that it is a depiction of a Roadrunner, one is amazed that such a object was constructed from left-over scrap.

We read about the Roadrunner and really wanted to see it. Yes it can be difficult to get to as you have to drive past it and circle back to gain entry and no it is not as well marked as it should be. We...More

We only saw this from the interstate. It's huge and quite remarkable. But I didn't see any tourism info on how to find the road to get up close and personal to get some photos.

This is named as one of the best rest areas. The roadrunner was made of recycled shoes, keyboards, etc.

This art piece is neat to see. It is really large and you can clearly see what the Artist incorporated into it. Crutches, keyboards, shoes and many thrown away objects are visible. It is an interesting idea and can make one think about recycling and...More

This is almost as funny as the "Jackalope" statue in middle New Mexico west of Albuquerque. Who would have believed this statue would be in the middle of nowhere?

If you are driving east into town, definitely stop, otherwise you have to back track quite a bit if you are heading west. Real fun to look at and beautiful views of Las Cruces.

This is a very impressive piece of art. Delightful and fun. The rest stop itself is nice. We took some pictures and spent a little time there.
