The building contains a small museum which my party of four found quite interesting. It's actually the active train station for Las Vegas, although they do not sell tickets or check in passengers. The historical displays are well done, although limited in scope. Nonetheless, it...More

Get your free maps and brochures and get out. (Bathrooms pleasant) Don't bother asking questions, cause you won't get any answers. They won't even greet you unless you greet them first. Do take advantage of the brochures. The local spots and movie spots are detailed...More

The best part of this is the old train station. You do get a sense of history while looking at the old photos in the waiting room, and it feels like a slice of history. The adjoining old Harvey House hotel is being renovated, an...More

While I didn't have need for the visitors center itself, the building was worth stopping and checking out. It's interesting to learn a little about the past when this now mere bump in the road was a major rail stop.

We stopped in and found the usual brochures, and had a nice experience talking with a local. Bathrooms are here, and it is on the railroad next to the Castaneda Hotel, currently being remodeled.

Located at the train station, and only open 9-12 and 1-4, this tiny, tiny visitors center offers brochures and info on regional hotels, restaurants and attractions. It is not part of Amtrak or the train station. And it's completely out of the way for Las...More
