Very nice views of Aguirre Springs and the Tularosa Basin on the Eastside of the pass. Organ Mountains are beautiful.

Driving through the pass no matter which direction your headed whether to Las Cruces or from Las Cruces to Alamogordo you will always be treated to a spectacular view.

As the title says, there is nothing here. Without the military there would be no need for the roads.

I pass over this every time I drive home or head out into town. The view has yet to get old. It definitely is a windy pass, so take note.

It's so windy here, hold onto your car during when you're opening it and stepping out! It's absolutely beautiful to be this high up and look off into the basin and the mountains. We were visiting from NJ, so we don't have anything like this...More

I like this pass because views form it are spectacular and you can also learn some history here because there are some very interesting information boards located here!

There is a parking area here, overlooking the Tularosa Basin, for when US Rt 70 is closed due to the firing of missiles. I believe there is also a porta-potty, as the wait for the highway to open can be an hour or more. However,...More
