It seems that most of the reviews are for Sandia Crest, not the Gift Shop. To be honest, the gift shop is lame and you won't find anything besides bespoke crap to buy here. But the crest itself is amazing, well worth the drive!

We sat inside the lodge, had lunch, and read a book sitting in the warm sun looking out over a gorgeous view. Short trails nearby that overlook Albuquerque. Wonderful afternoon. Ranger and everyone there were friendly and helpful.
