First time that I can recall at this State Park. Not too crowded mid-week, but was told weekends are packed, so keep that in mind. Drove and walked around to find best fishing options. Shore fishing not so great; really need to bring your boat....More

No complaints about the campground but we got a lot of wrong and bad info from Reserve America who one has to go to deal with campsite reservations. NEVER AGAIN! Because of them we had to change campsites 3 times.

This lake is about 10 miles north of Santa Rosa New Mexico and seems to be a big hit with the locals. In the aired desert terrain it is a welcome site. That said, most of the campsite do not have electricity so it is...More

Wanted a place to be outside, walked trails with our dogs. Saw some jack rabbits. Very clean park, great place to have a picnic over looking the dam and rio grand river. Call ahead to book shelter.

We pulled in around 8:30 in the dark. But no worries! They have an envelope system. It was a nice clean park with good roads, a beautiful lake and awesome views! And a huge dam, and geocaches and..... Just a very nice park.

Yes. There is camping for RVS & Tents with a shelter at each site, clean bathrooms & showers (Rock Point Campground). I think you can fish, as well.
