Closed permanently I have visited the now closed Cultural Center on I-25 several times and regret the decision by the state of New Mexico to close the center.

This was an excellent site and museum but is closed for now. There is talk that it will reopen soon under the purview of a college. (It is owned by the State of NM.)

Have been meaning to visit for two years &&&& finally stopped in today without reading reviews! Guess what! CLOSED!! How can the spend millions of $$ on welfare and handouts only to close a facility like this due to budget cuts???? Terrible decision

This was an interesting place to visit for history of New Mexico, but the state closed the facility due to lack of visitors. We took our 4th graders every year for Cinco de Mayo.

This museum/visitor center is extremely well done. It is architecturally beautiful with stunning views of the desert panorama. The displays are high quality and give the patient visitor a good feeling for this history of New Mexico.

Who knew? A 400 year old highway. This is historically significant to the western US. A lot of reading, no hiking or driving. Small entrance fee unless you fit one of the excluded categories. Stop if you are in the area. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
