Informative and interesting museum in the home of Kit Carson. The rooms are filled with actual relics of his family and his descendants. The check-in staff was very friendly. If you are a Mason, bring an ID card to get a discount.

Decided to stop in and see the Kit Carson Home and Museum. There is not much too it for the $7 entry fee but know that is for the upkeep of it. Took lots of photos for my history students.

This museum is in the original house. It is still setup with some of his furnishings. I believe the lady that was working the counter said she was Kit Carson's great-granddaughter. There is also a small gift shop in the front of the house.

Parking was a little limited. Museum was ok but not a must see. Staff was friendly. AC was not working very well. The museum had a short film prior to entering. It is close to the other sites in central part of Taos.

Beautiful courtyard and enjoyed the movie about Kit Carson. We're looking forward to seeing the other surrounding buildings that have yet to be restored.

Very nice home and museum of Kit Carson. We really enjoyed The History Channel's documentary on Kit Carson prior to walking through the museum. Many thanks to the Mason's for preserving Kit Carson's history.

Parking was a tough find while we visited the area, not that it does not exist. There is no direct parking for the museum. However, we were able to park in an open restaurant parking lot at no charge just a block or so to... More
