I absolutely love Caballo S.P., especially the Riverside portion of the park. Lots of shade, easy access to the river and fishing, and a good bit of wildlife viewing.

Unless you like being surrounded by thousands of campers do not come here to the Riversend campground over Easter weekend. Many of the campsites after the majority of the people left after the weekend were completely trashed with garbage. Very discouraging to know that there...More

Spent some time today visiting this state Park. Nice views of the Rio Grande and Caballo lake. Not much in the way of trails, would have liked to hike more while there.
