Make sure you take your time looking at the pictures. The guides are authentic, they’ve lived in town all of or most of their lives.

Let me first start by saying that the lack of information on this site is because the manager, Mike, is trying his best to raise funds to restore the place and relies on donations to get work done. That said, the museum is a great...More

Looked in both sides but the three people we saw seems busy taking care of personal business. If you are a model train fan you may like, but did not see much vintage railroad memorabilia

We wanted to see this museum but were only able to walk around the outside as it was closed once we found it. Their website could definitely use some work, there is nothing on the site about hours for operation. It ends up that we...More

The train depot is a gem. Beautifully maintained and full of history. Great place for community events and a wonderful performance venue. Provides a backdrop for unique photos too.

Locals have done a wonderful job of restoration of the old Rock Island - Southern Pacific railroad depot in Santa Fe. Beautiful

This is a great little museum. The gentleman working was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. They are expanding the museum but the current exhibit it nice as it is. We were lucky enough to see 2 trains come through the old depot while...More

You can tell that efforts are being put into the railroad museum and adjoining area at the depot. It's a classic and should be appreciated.

I Love trains. I enjoyed the attractions they had and felt it was worth the time. Also a great stop during the heat of the day.

I'm so sorry to be slow answering your questions. I've been away. There is no admission charge to the museum, but of course they will take donations.

No there is not. There is an old train car at another museum in town though. Can't remember the name but it's maybe 5 or 6 blocks south and east from the depot.
