On route stop.

Looks like a farm stall updated recently. Nothing outstanding about the stall, their apple juice very good. Their souvenir items was very good.

A nice little farm stall, with a decent reasonably priced breakfast and lunch. There is wine tasting of Star Hill wines, and cool drinks water and wine sales. A variety of jams and preserves and one or two small gift items. It is not a grocery store. It is quite limited but good at what it does worth a stop.

I do like to call into farm/vineyard shops but was disappoint here. Not the friendliest greeting that you would expect in a quiet isolated shop. Not a lot in the shop either, in fact not a particularly good visit, travel further to the next place.

We were traveling between Worcester and Oudtshoorn when we passed Aķkerboom. Nice little stop for dried fruit, cooldrink and a Route 62 fridge magnet.

I bought a lovely shiraz (Starhill wines) from this farm stall 2 years prior and wanted to take my husband to taste their wines. Akkerboom Farm Stall sells the Starhill fresh produce and wines and also have a farm style small restaurant. Be aware that the staff are not trained wrt the wines, so you merely have to tell them... Arguably the worst "carrot cake" I ever ate. An insult to a " farm stall" ! The tea tasted like some bulk budget tea- bags. Go visit Diesel& Crème in Barrydale and learn from them.

We stopped here by chance on our way from Stellenbosch to Oudtshoorn. We sat on the terrace , looking across the veld to the mountains and enjoyed freshly cooked chicken schnitzel and delicious locally made cloudy apple juice. It was very reasonably priced and a lovely place to stop.

We found this by accident - as an emergency toilet stop for a kid - 3 years ago! and now its one of the top stops for any Cape Town visit! The farm stall is well stocked with fresh fruit, jams, chutneys etc but the "Star" attraction (excuse the pun) is the Star Hill wine - winners of many awards... More

This farmstall is not very big but have the basics of what you are looking for. There are some locally produced products, a small wine shop (although they only stock one winery) and a small restaurant. Overall it is a good stop just to stretch the legs and get somerhing for the road.
