This museum is designed to tell the Zuni story of the Zunis. So, much is written about native American cultures by non-natives that this type of place is needed to hear the people themselves speak. Their permanent exhibition, Hawikku: Echoes from the Past, has artifacts...More

We took the Middle Village tour offered by the museum and enjoyed learning about the history of Zuni Pueblo from an expert guide. This is sacred land indeed!

This is an excellent small museum dedicated to the history of the Zuni People. If you are interested in Native American culture and its history, you should definitely visit this museum.

As a non-Zuni person, I found this museum very informative as to zuni history. It looks a little beat up on the outside but the content inside of great. I spent quite a while there going though the exhibits

Easy to miss due to the faded sign, this little museum is an excellent introduction to Zuni. Archaeology buffs will see a detailed account of the excavations of the ancestral pueblo of Hawikku, and some marvelous vintage black and white film of the old days.

We happened upon this museum by accident. I learned so much about the Zuni Indians..how they lived long ago.

This is a nice little museum, there was no one there so we just walked around. Great info on the Zuni.

The conversation with the curator was fascinating. He explained the up coming religious celebration and reminded us not to photograph natives without their permission.

We were disappointed that this museum wasn't open on a Tuesday afternoon in mid-October. The hours posted on the door indicated it would be open, but it was locked up tight. We were looking forward to visiting the museum and learning more about the Zuni...More
