Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fun spot with real good drinks. Nice selection of bourbons - all very different. Vodkas are good too, with some creative cocktails on the menu. For Covid reasons, only the outside was open, but it's a nice setup with outdoor heaters. I'm not sure what it's like during non-Covid times, but I was surprised that there was barely and food at all being served - not even snacks. It was ironic, because just about every 15 minutes another bus or limo pulled up with 10 or so people pouring out. Aside from some soft pretzels (with no salt!), and some Pringles, there were no other snacks. I think they could have sold twice as many drinks if they had decent things to munch on. The only other criticism is that it took way too long to get drinks on their giant line. They had two people serving drinks, so you had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get one. Maybe it's a little too early in the season, so I'm hoping that when summer hits, they will get on their game. Still a fun spot, and not as stuffy as some of the wineries can get. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I guess due to Covid not much going on. They were a little on the non helpful side. You can not go in. Just couple tables outside and you get 3 thimbles for $11 of tasting. When asking about the T shirts ...response Oh we have limited sizes. OK what does that mean? Maybe rethink who you have working. With all going on we understand the limitations but at least be bend over backwards nice. 1 out of the 3 tastings were ok.

$15 to go drink comes in a mason jar (who cares, junk) and tastes like water. Got the strawberry flavored drink and had to add++++ vodka when I got home. They offer a Manhattan too, again I wouldn't WASTE MY MONEY$$$$$. Would NEVER go back. Met locals later in week at another local establishment on North Fork who used to work for LIV. Said owner money hungry, has NOT GIVEN FREE HAND SANITIZER like moonshine place a few miles east, only cares about profit I'm told from an ex employee........ DON'T SUPPORT!!!!!

My wife and I used to come here on a regular basis. Its a great venue and the new owners have expanded the alcohol selections and drinks. The problem lies in the princesses behind the bar who are given the latitude to close up to 2 hours early if they feel like it. I overheard one exclaim "managers discretion". If my establishment had 20 people actively purchasing drinks and my staff turned off the music and ordered them to leave I would fire them. Having to wait 10 minutes for the girls to put their phone down and notice me only to say last call was 5 mins ago shows how lax the owners have become at running this business. This is not the first time this has occurred here but I assure it will be the last time it happens to us.

While initially specializing in vodkas, Long Island Spirits now has aged bourbon, rye, and single-malt offerings that are quite good (the rye and bourbon are branded Rough Rider after Long-Islander Teddy Roosevelt). A flight of three (of four) brown spirits has generous pours that are enough for two people if making a quick stop along the North Fork wine region. Or spend some time on the deck and enjoy the view of the farm fields behind the distillery. The cask-strength rye will put hair on your chest!

I've been to almost 15 different distilleries in 4 different states, over a dozen distilleries, over a dozen wineries/vineyards and 1 Cider house. Until today I never found one I didn't like.

The service/tasting was less unsatisfactory. The tasters knowledge about the product was less than stellar. The place boasts of using local crops, but I got more information from reading the bottle than I could from the server who gave the tasting.

The tasting room is up several flights of stairs as if to prohibit wheelchairs and stiller.

More importantly we felt unwelcome; almost as if we intruded in her day.

There are banners out front with bouton clearly displayed, yet bourbon was available for tasting.

I wish this business well but have no desire to return.

I mentioned LIV to my wife, and we stopped by as were taking a drive on Long Islands North Fork. We arrived, it was not very busy the middle of June, on the weekend, but they were set up with entertainment. Tables to sit and bring a packed lunch, and just hang out and enjoy the surrounding beauty of the Island.

We had a sample tasting, three vodka taste for $11, and then we order cocktails. I did not care for the regular vodka myself, as a martini drinker, it was not smooth to drink straight up. As for fruited vodka, it was ok, but I don't generally drink vodka infusions. Over all a fun place, beautiful scenery, a band and good company.
