Carousel and Zoo too!

This was a sweet carousel just at the entrance to the Ross Park Zoo. I loved the sign "Admission, One Piece of Litter".

A wonderful family outing to the zoo would not be complete without a ride on this free carousel. the Horsies go up and down as the carousel music plays, and there are even non-movable seats for the less venturesome. Right near the entrance to the zoo, and also a hop and a skip from the Discovery Center for little ones.;

Ride a piece of history. This carousel has been enjoyed by several generations of my family. You have a choice of horses or carriage.

We enjoyed taking our friends on this carousel also. This one has the music and admission is a piece of litter!

Ross Park Carousel is a covered carousel in Ross Park. We were visiting for a wedding and needed to get our 4 year old some physical activity so we stopped here. I'd read some about the carousel but not much on the park. This carousel is free and a long ride, two great points. But the park is fabulous!!! I... More

We went to the zoo that was right next to this.....we did not know it was free until we walked up and saw the sign ......FREE! There is a pamphlet about all of the free carousel in the area....great story....you should read it!

This is one of six carousels gifted to Broom County by Endicott Johnson Shoe industrialist George Johnson. It is also earmarked for restoration this year. No problem because there are five others to ride. And you cannot ignore a stroll through one of the Country's oldest zoo's.

If you want to relive your youth this is the place. All aged kids love the carousel. Even the old people... I meant me too!

Beautiful old carousel, rode it when I was young and now friends with grandkids can ride it free. It's a long walk to get the lids to and it's down in a valley.

A real throwback experience. Leave your pride in the car and enjoy looking at the various horses as well as riding up-and-down-and-around. Length of ride is just long enough, and your co-riders can range from little kids to wedding parties to foreigners to otherwise-jaded teens to seniors.
