Went with my 22 months old baby daughter. Her excitement when spotting the whales so closed to us was the greatest joy a mommy can hope for.

I was like a kid at Christmas time. I couldn't sleep the night before. My daughter and I were the first ones to arrive. That's how excited we were. lol It was a nice view of Brooklyn especially Coney Island. And of course, Manhattan Island....More

In the summer. They usually go out thru October. I forget when they start up again, probably @ Memorial Day weekend. Check out their website! Plenty of information there!
