Walking thru pouring rain couldn't take away the beauty of this garden oasis. We loved all of it - we are anxious to return on a beautiful spring day to walk the breathtaking grounds

Coming here is always interesting and food for all the senses. The permanent exhibits are beautiful in every season. The special shows are almost always breath-taking. Never miss the train show at Holiday time. A real dreamland. Also a train to take you to distant exhibits for people who can't or don't want to walk the longer distances. Only negative--the... More

We came here to the train exhibition and then joined the Garden as a member. It was beautiful and the staff very friendly. Christine at the front ticket booth was the best. She was very friendly, patient and funny. Highly recommend go there to see the gardens.

We went with out 3 year old and our adult friends and EVERYONE enjoyed the shows. There was lots of historical details for the adults while the kids just enjoyed the awe of the trains! The whole thing took about 45 min to walk through but there was enough to do throughout the garden to be a full event. There... More

This was our first time at the NYBG and hopefully not our last time. We took the Tram around the Gardens. We had an Outstanding and Humorous Attendant John S. John was not only informative he had us all laughing and smiling. He was also (as well as the Driver of the Tram) very Safety conscience in regard to the... More

The NYBG turns its conservatory into a miniature NYC at Christmas time, one build around miniature trains. The looks of delight on the kids' faces makes it worth going to see. The trains are great, but for me, the 100+ historical buildings built entirely from plant parts are the wonder. Grand Central, St. Patrick's, Rockefeller Center Ice Rink, etc, etc.... More

How could this not be the number one spot in "things to do" list. First of all the grounds are enormous. You can not see is all in one visit, or one day. This is a place that the closer you are to it, the more time you could spend. The more time you spent here, the more time you... More

The Train show at the New York Botanical Gardens is only available during the holidays. Our visit was Sunday November 20, 2016. Arriving around 11:00 AM, we were issued timed tickets to the train exhibit. Timed entries were about 15 minute intervals. There was a preshow that lasted 5 minutes, consisting of the building of the exhibits. Upon entering 2... More

I remember touring Canada a few years ago but during the summer so I never really got to appreciate nature's colours. That's ok for now I went to this wonderful and extensive parkland in the Fall where all the trees and shrubs displayed such an array of beautiful and incredible colours. I have never seen such beauty and as far... More
