One of NYC's biggest parks. On the northeast corner of the Bronx and on the Long Island Sound. There is City Island, Orchard Beach, Minature Golf and other activities. There are walking and bike trails. All of this can be reached by city bus.

I go to this park all the time through out the summer. They have a track for walking and running and other types of exercise equipment. I enjoy going to see the concerts in August, you can seat in the lawn or bring your own...More

As a kid while attending grammar school, i was introduced to a reinactment of the revolutionary war ( British against americans) by my god father who was my teacher and a history teacher and mentor ..Supposedly the real war was fought in those very grounds...More

Baseball fields, water playgrounds, basketball courts, bochi ball, tennis courts running track, football/soccer field, work out machines, barbeque picnic area. What else do you need? There is a very big parking lot for Orchard Beach - just follow the signs. You may have a hike if you are coming later in the day. There is a fee to park from Memorial Day until Labor Day. The city parks site says: During... More

Old Orchard Beach is in Maine. Orchard Beach in the Bronx is part of Pelham Bay Park on the shore of the Long Island Sound.
